Establishment of Permanent Monitoring Plots (PMP), in tropical dry forests in the Caribbean region, as part of the monitoring network with permanent plots in Colombia.
Three permanent monitoring plots of dry forest were established in the National Natural Parks in the Caribbean Region (NNP Tayrona in Magdalena, NNP Macuira in La Guajira and SFF Los Colorados in Bolívar), which was used as a basis for the generation of focused guidelines towards integral management; indispensable elements to advance spatial and geographic analysis at the national level, as well as the definition of conservation priorities and the baseline for monitoring within the framework of the research agenda and monitoring of the dry forest in Colombia
